GUIDING PRINCIPLES

An acceptable manuscript will meet the following general criteria: it reports a worthwhile contribution to science, a sound methodology was used and is explained with sufficient detail so that other capable scientists could repeat the experiments. Conclusions are supported by data, manuscripts are concise, well written, and understandable.

THE GENERAL GUIDELINES OF MANUSCRIPT 

The manuscript text general guidelines are as follows:

  1. The manuscript is the authentic research result that has not been published yet in other publication media or publishing houses which are stated on Statement of Originality 
  2. The manuscript does not contain any plagiarism element. The editorial board will directly reject the text that indicates plagiarism.
  3. The submission and the review processes are free, without any fee. The fee will be charged to the manuscript which is accepted to be published. 
  4. The manuscript is written in Microsoft Word or Rich Text format (RTF) file format.
  5. The manuscript that has been written under the guidelines of Industria must be submitted through the Online Submission System using Open Journal System (OJS) on the website of Industria (www.industria.ub.ac.id). Manuscript submission by email or postal delivery is not recommended. Authors are suggested to read the Online Submission Manuscript Guidelines and Journal Template for more details
  6. The manuscript which is inappropriate with the writing guidelines of Industria will be returned to the author before the reviewing process.
  7. The manuscript should contain several aspects of a scientific article as follows (subtitles as the order): (a) the title of the article both in Bahasa Indonesia and in English, (b) the names of authors (no academic title), (c) the affiliations of authors in the standard name (the name of affiliation, address, city, postcode, country) in English, (d) the e-mail of correspondence author, (e) the abstract and the keywords both in Bahasa Indonesia and in English (only in English if the manuscript is in English), (f) the introduction, (g) the research method (h) the results and discussion, (i) the conclusion, and (j) the references.
  8. The subtitles (Introduction, Research Methods, Result and Discussion, and Conclusion) are written centered in the bold and uppercase format. The next expanded subtitles should be written in the bold and sentence case format. It should use the left text alignment.
  9. The manuscript is written in Bahasa Indonesia or in English with the standard language. Indonesian authors are advised to submit articles in Bahasa Indonesia. The manuscript is written on A4-sized papers (210x297 mm), with mirror margins as follows: inside 25 mm, outside 23 mm, bottom 23 mm and top 23 mm.
  10. The manuscript should consist of twelve (12) to fourteen (14) pages including pictures and tables. The text of the manuscript must be in Time New Roman, 11pt font size, single-spacing, in one column. Each paragraph started 7.5 mm from the left side border while there are no spaces between paragraphs.
  11. The words from uncommon or foreign languages are stated in Italic format. Abbreviations should follow the International System (SI) symbols and those recommended by the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC). Abbreviations should be defined in brackets after their first mention in the text. Unit of measurement also should follow the prevailing International System. Standard units of measurements and chemical symbols of elements may be used without definition in the body of the paper.
  12. Each table must be given a table title (Table Caption) and numbered in Arabic numbering format above the table followed by the table title. The table should not contain vertical lines, while horizontal lines are allowed only for the important point. Each figure/chart must be given a caption (Figure Caption) below the figure and be numbered in Arabic numbering format followed by the figure title. The figures should be guaranteed that they can be edited (if it is a chart then upload also the supplementary file of data for drawing the chart) and can be printed well (font size, resolution and line space are clearly seen). The tables and figures/charts should be placed in the center of a page. 

THE GUIDELINES OF MANUSCRIPT BODY TEXT

The Title of the Manuscript

The title should be informative and be written both briefly and clearly. It cannot diverse multi-interpretations. It has to be pinpoint with the issues that will be discussed. The beginning word is written in the capital case and symmetrically. The article title does not contain any uncommon abbreviation. The main ideas should be written first and followed then by its explanations. The article title should be written within 12-15 words, 13pt-sized font, with the bold selection and in the center text format.

Authors

The manuscript has a maximum of five authors, consist of the main author and co-authors with the full name of the author and co-authors (no abbreviation). The full name of each author and co-authors should be followed by each affiliation, address, city with postal code, and country of affiliation. The e-mail of the corresponding author should also be indicated.

Abstract

The abstract comes after the title page and author's information in the manuscript. The abstract must be integrated and independent which is consist of introduction and purpose, methods, results, conclusion, and suggestion. However, the abstract should be written as a single paragraph without any headers. References should be avoided. Non-standard or uncommon abbreviations also should be avoided, but if essential they must be defined at their first mention in the abstract itself. The abstract must be written using 150 until 200 words and accompanied with 3 to 5 keywords or phrases in alphabetical order. The keywords should be avoiding general and plural terms and multiple concepts. These keywords will be used for indexing purposes. 

Introduction

The introduction must contain (shortly and consecutively) a general background and a literature review (state of the art) as the basis of the brand new research question, statements of the brand new scientific article, main research problems, and the hypothesis. In the final part of the introduction, the purpose of the article writing should be stated. As you compose the introduction, think of readers who are not experts in this field. 

Methods

The methods used in the problem solving of the research are explained in this part. This should be divided into subsections if several methods are described.  All materials and methods that used such chemical for analysis, treatment, and experimental design must be stated clearly and briefly. A theory section should extend, not repeat, the background to the article already dealt with in the Introduction and lays the foundation for further work. A calculation section represents a practical development from a theoretical basis.

Results and Discussion

Result and discussion must be written in the same part. The Results and Discussion may be combined into a single section or presented separately. They may also be broken into subsections with short, informative headings. They should be presented continuously start from the main result to the supporting results and equipped with a discussion. Unit of measurement used should follow the prevailing international system. All figures and tables should be active and editable by the editor.

Conclusion

The conclusion should state clearly the main findings of the research and give a clear explanation of their importance and relevance. They will be the answers to the hypothesis, the research purposes, and the research discoveries. The conclusions should not contain only the repetition of the results and discussions. It should be the summary of the research results as the author expects in the research purposes or the hypothesis. The advice contains suggestions associated with further ideas from the research.

Acknowledgment

Acknowledgments can be directed to the funder or those who have contributed to the implementation of the research.

References

All reference mentioned should be written down in reference using American Psychological Association (APA) style and ordered alphabetically and chronologically. Articles have 15 recent references or over and 80% is a journal. The most of references are primary ones (last ten years). Unpublished data and personal communication should not be cited as literature citations. “In Press” articles that have been accepted for publication may be cited in references. Include in the citation the journal in which the “in press” article will appear and the publication date if a date is available. The reference list should include only literature actually cited in the manuscripts. Authors are strongly recommended to use reference tools, such as MendeleyZoteroEndnoteetc. Herewith are some of the APA-based references format structure:

THE GUIDELINES OF ONLINE MANUSCRIPT SUBMISSION 

To be processed for publishing in Industria, author(s) willing to submit their manuscript have to submit it online through Industria's OJS system, with guidelines as follows:

  1. The author is suggested to read and follow the Author Guidelines, Online Submission Manuscript Guidelines, and Journal Template (in English is on the last pages of them) before submitting the manuscript. 
  2. The author should register as an author at the website of Industria then log in if the author is already registered
  3. After being log in as an author, click on “New Submission”. The manuscript submission steps consist of five steps
  4. Step 1 is "Starting the Submission”. The author should be sure that the manuscript is fulfilled the requirements of the Submission Checklist then check all the checklist
  5. Step 2 is "Uploading the Submission”.  The author should upload the manuscript file in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  6. Step 3 is "Entering the Submission’s Metadata”. The author should fill the author data and affiliation. Co-author(s) data and affiliation(s) can be added by clicking "Add Author". The author should also fill the Title of Manuscript, Abstract, and Keywords in step 3.
  7. Title of the manuscript must be filled with the title in Bahasa Indonesia (in English if the manuscript is in English) with a maximum of 15 words 
  8. The abstract must be filled with both Indonesian and English abstract (only in English if the manuscript is in English). The English abstract should be written first, "Abstract" -- two spaces -- write or paste the English abstract. Followed with the Indonesian abstract, "Abstrak" -- two spaces -- write/copy the Indonesian abstract.
  9. Bahasa/language must be filled with the initial of the language used in the manuscript. For Bahasa Indonesia, please fill with "id". For English, please fill with "en"
  10. References must be filled with all references used in the manuscript, separates each reference with one blank space. 
  11. On “Step 4. Uploading Supplementary Files”, author(s) must upload the file of "Surat Pernyataan" ("Statement of Originality") and other necessary files.
  12. On “Step 5. Confirming the Submission” author(s) must click the button of "Finish Submission", otherwise the submission process will not be completed.
  13. Author(s) are encouraged to log in to their submission pages periodically, to monitor the submission process.
  14. We kindly remind that submission process in Industria will be done entirely through the OJS system. Submission through email or postal will not be processed.

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in a format of Microsoft Word or Rich Text Format (RTF).
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses an 11-point font and all tables and figures/charts are placed within the text at the appropriate points.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal, as well as the Journal Template.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Peer Review have been followed.

Authors are not required to pay an Article Submission Fee as part of the submission process.

Fast-Track Review: 0.00 (IDR)
Authors are not required to pay the review, editorial decision, and author notification on this manuscript

Article Processing Charge: 500000.00 (IDR)
If the manuscript is not rejected for the next processing after review, the author will be asked to pay an Article Processing Charge. A statement letter related to this charge will be sent to the author before the manuscript is reviewed. If the Author does not agree to pay the Article Processing Charge then the manuscript will not be continued to be processed. If the Author cannot revise the manuscript according to the review result then we will not publish the manuscript and we will not return the article processing payment to the author.
